"Having studied Egyptology in Cairo, Egypt I began to form an idea around the temple offerings both at Philae and at Luxor. What came from this is what makes resin and rose harmonious and gives a sense of place and time. Throughout my studies I had to put the recipe away but it always lingered in my mind for another day. After completing my degree in Egyptology, I spent a few months finding the notes from around the world like the Romanian Rose I encountered in Bucharest and traveling around Transylvania. What occurred was a connection between rose and tuberose binding the vanilla aroma of Tonka and infusing it into subtle aspects of saffron and Frankincense. This perfume is very well my connection to Egypt but the blend itself is what I learned from the ancients and what I felt would be my offering to Isis or Bastet. 25ml sapphire bottle, finished with a golden lid and black engraved plate. Limited to 10 bottles each. Kashmiri Saffron harvested locally in Pampore, India. Ambergris is a vegan perfume accord (no whale involved). All flowers extracted by enfleurage methods.
